Vivid Sydney 2016 (27 May-18 June) is a 23-day festival of light, music and ideas—and is the largest of its kind in the world. In 2016, Vivid Sydney will run for an additional five nights providing visitors with even more time to experience the spectacular light, music and ideas that illuminate the Harbour City each winter.

Family friendly

Each year Vivid Sydney transforms the city into a colourful canvas of light, music, and ideas, and is a major celebration of the creative industries. From 6pm each night, light installations and projections illuminate the world famous Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay, The Rocks, Walsh Bay, Martin Place and precincts including Taronga Zoo.

Vivid Sydney is where art, technology and commerce intersect. Vivid celebrates Sydney as the creative hub of the Asia-Pacific with large scale light installations and projections; free family events; music performances and collaborations; and creative ideas, discussion and debate.
