2. Wilsons Promontory

Find your favourite space in Wilsons Promontory National Park, Victoria's largest coastal wilderness area. Known as 'The Prom', it's cherished by all who visit, many returning regularly to treasured corners. Set out on a walking track and discover tranquil rivers and secluded coves, granite mountaintops and lush fern gullies.

3. Mt Baw Baw

Whether you visit Mt Baw Baw in winter for accessible snow sports or in warmer months for scenic alpine adventure, getting active in the great outdoors is a must. Take a self-guided audio hike through springtime wildflowers, or get the adrenaline pumping with abseiling, rafting, and high octane mountain biking.

4. Beaches

The surf's up in Phillip Island and Gippsland. With Phillip Island designated a National Surfing Reserve and Gippsland boasting unspoilt coastline, you're bound to catch a wave. There's a beach to suit any mood in this part of Victoria, from family-friendly bay beaches to Ninety Mile Beach's endless golden sands.

5. Seal Watching

Join a wildlife cruise out to Phillip Island's Seal Rocks to have a closer look at the families of fur seals frolicking on the rocks and in the water. Over 16,000 fur seals call these rocks their home. Visit the Nobbies Centre to learn more about the local marine environment.

6. Churchill Island

Take home a basket of farm-fresh produce and important agricultural history from Churchill Island, off Phillip Island. The site of Victoria's first European settlement, the historic homestead and traditional farming techniques can be experienced today. Walk or cycle around the tiny island and stock up at the monthly farmers market.
